Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselors (CASACs) provide direct clinical care services and substance use disorder counseling within addiction treatment settings.
The New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) determines the requirements for becoming a CASAC.
Jamestown Community College offers an Addictions Counseling Certificate program which fulfills the educational requirements for becoming a CASAC. For more information on this program, contact the Director of Human Services at JCC.
